Numerous other former students have spoken of everything from physical abuse, watching helplessly as another student was suffering after being beaten with golf clubs, sexual assault and more.
God bless you, Kim. You’re right, “homes” such as New Bethany need to be closed and those who abuse children prosecuted. We hear you.
Tonight CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 continues with its series UnGodly Discipline. This time the program will be airing Gary Tuchman’s investigation into Pinehaven Christian Children’s Ranch located in St. Ignatius, Montana.
There have been numerous allegations of physical, emotional and sexual abuse and one death that occurring Pinehaven. In 2005, James Stanley Barnes, 26, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Jan. 27 for the rape of two 15-year-old girls while he was employed as a youth supervisor at Pinehaven Christian Children’s Ranch near St. Ignatius.
According to this ninety-nine page report Pinehaven Christian Children’s Ranch and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department has numerous violations under Montana State Codes.
